Year End Rider Awards Program

 

Awards:

  • Separate awards given for Schooling and Recognized shows.
  • Champion will be awarded in each division – Jr/YR, AA, Open.
  • Levels:
    • Intro (Jr/YR, AA Only)
    • Training
    • 1st
    • 2nd
    • 3rd
    • 4th
    • FEI – Prix St. Georges, I1, I2, and Grand Prix
    • Western Dressage – Intro/Basic/Level 1, 2 and 3
    • Eventing – Beg Nov, Novice, Training,

Elligibility:

  • Rider must be current BACH member at time of competition.
  • Rider and horse pair must be nominated and recorded and the nominating fee paid before the date of competition.
  • Registration fee must be paid annually.
  • Riders may add an adjacent division  during the program year.  This must be recorded prior to the competition in consideration.
  • Qualification is based on same horse/rider combination.
  • Program year runs December 1 – November 30
  • Jr/YR Division – Up until the end of the calendar year the rider reaches age 21.
  • Adult Amateur (AA) Division – From the beginning of the calendar year the rider reaches age 22.
  • Open Division – From the beginning of the calendar year the rider reaches age 22, not a USEF Adult Amateur (AA).

Score Requirements

Recognized Show Awards

  • Based on the median of the highest (4) scores under (3) different judges at each level.
  • Must have a minimum of (4) scores.
  • Must have scores from a minimum of (3) different judges.
  • Must have scores from a minimum of (2) different competitions.
  • At least one score must be earned from the highest test of the level (EXCEPT AT INTRO LEVEL).
  • Scores earned in championship classes (and other classes with more than one judge) can be applied toward year-end awards; however where two or more scores are earned for one test, only the average will be used for year-end calculations.
  • A horse/rider combination can only receive awards for a maximum of two adjacent levels.
  • USDF scores will be used to calculate awards.

Schooling Show Awards

  • Based on the median of the highest (3) scores from (2) different shows . (May submit scores from non-BACH shows).
  • May submit scores from virtual shows with an L-judge or higher.
  • A horse/rider combination can only receive awards for a maximum of two adjacent levels.
  • Submit scores by providing a link to show results or a scanned image of the test with judge’s signature by December 2nd.

The BACH Challenge

  • To give encouragement and allow participation in a series of events for club members showing at the lower levels who do not, or cannot, go to local unrecognized and recognized shows.  For more information look HERE.
