The BACH Challenge Series 2025

The mission:

To give encouragement and allow participation in a series of events for club members showing at the lower levels who do not, or cannot, go to local unrecognized and recognized shows.

The Requirements:

All BACH members are encouraged to compete in our Virtual Shows (VS)  and Ride-A-Tests (RAT) regardless of level and will receive ribbons for their placements through 5^th place.   However, our Challenge Awards will only be given for USDF Intro and Training Levels and Western Intro and Basic Level for Adult Amateurs (AM) Juniors (Jr) and professionals on green horses (Open)

These Challenge Awards will be awarded on the average of best 3 scores taken one each from least three of the four different BACH events: 2 Virtual Shows and 2 Ride-A-Tests. (You must enter at least three of the four events.) They will be based on the Horse/Rider combination. (Scores for the Ride-A-Tests will be given on the first ride of the RAT.  The second score (the re-ride) will not count.)

These Challenge Awards are open to BACH members (either GMO or “friends”).  Membership can be paid for along with the first event entered.

No nomination fees are required but members must submit a test sheet under the heading of BACH Challenge to Sandy Venneman where she can clearly see the name of the rider and horse and the score.  All scores must be submitted to Sandy by December 1 of the year of competition or ten days after the last event (if we run late in the year) whichever comes last.

These Challenge Awards will be given along with the Year-end Awards at BACH’s Year-End Celebration.

Year-End Awards also given:

More experienced horses and/or riders, are encouraged to compete for BACH Year-End Awards by competing at the many recognized and unrecognized shows in our area and also BACH’s two Virtual Shows which count for awards in the “unrecognized shows” category.

All BACH members competing at any level are still eligible for BACH Year-End Awards once they fill out the nomination form and pay the required fee. See more about the Year-End awards HERE.
