Dressage Ride-a-Test and Scribe Clinic with Donna Meyer (USEF “r” Judge)

Here is your opportunity to practice the NEW 2019 tests and learn how to improve your scores at a competition! Ride a test of choice, talk with the judge, then ride the test again. Scores and comments will be given.

Rides will be scheduled every 45 minutes. Ride times will be available Wednesday before the clinic on the BACH website, bachdressage.org.
Small Arena (20x40m): Intro, Western Tests.
Large Arena (20x60m). All other dressage tests.

Cost per Test Ride:
45 Min Time Slot – Test ride, Tips & discussion, and Re-ride
$45 for BACH members
$50 for Nonmembers
Grounds Fee: $10
Auditing: Free!

BACH is also offering a Scribe Clinic with Donna Meyer, a USEF “r” and USEF Western Dressage “R” judge in conjunction with the ride-a-test for anyone who would like to learn how to scribe or would like a refresher! The clinic will help participants understand the responsibilities of the scribe and offer helpful hints on how to stay organized during a show.
We will cover the guidelines for scribes including: scores, common abbreviations, errors, and other general advice. The discussion will be followed by a practice test and Q&A. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice throughout the ride-a-test schedule! Come and learn what the judge is looking for: what earns high scores, what can lower your score, and hear a judge’s perspective on how each movement should be ridden.
If you would like to volunteer at local shows, this is great opportunity to gain the knowledge, confidence, and practice to be ready!

Cost for Scribe Clinic Session:
Free for BACH members
$5 for nonmembers

Scribe Clinic Session: 8:30 – 9:15
Ride-A-Test Times: 9:15 – 12:15 & 1:00 – 4:45
Lunch: 12:15 – 1:00
